Victory at Ohio University!

After months of delays, negotiations, and one-on-one engagement, faculty at Ohio University won a decisive victory on Monday as an overwhelming majority voted YES to being represented in collective bargaining by the United Academics of Ohio University, AAUP/AFT. 

This is an outstanding moment for faculty at OU as they join the faculty at twelve unionized campuses across Ohio who are members of the AAUP and AFT. Now, all eyes are turning to the negotiations table, where faculty will soon begin bargaining over job security, protecting the faculty voice, shared governance, and low and stagnant wages.
