The AAUPÂ staff lawyers monitor legal developments in higher education around the country and have expertise in subjects such as academic freedom, discrimination, affirmative action, and faculty contracts. They lead workshops and presentations on higher education law for a variety of audiences throughout the country. They keep the Association apprised of new and emerging legal issues that may have implications in areas such as labor and employment law, freedom of expression, and intellectual property rights.
